Barbara Christol’s Spring News

Hello,

Spring has arrived, and with it, a host of exciting news:

. My artistic residency at the Collège Révolution in the City of Nîmes, where I’ve been since the end of January to create a personal piece on the theme of “Interior Landscapes,” with the support of the Gard Departmental Council.

. An article about my work during this Nîmes artistic residency appeared on the Artistes d’Occitanie website.

. My representation by Art Trope Gallery, as well as the superb article published on Artnet about my arrival and that of the four other new artists in the gallery.

My artistic residency at the Collège Révolution

“Interior Landscapes,” my new artist residency project, echoes my work on space, perspective, and geometry.

Having taken over the space since the end of January 2023, I’m deploying a truly site-specific creative approach, offering a back-and-forth between weaving, drawing, and painting, where the artistic gesture acts as a revelatory force.

The new works will be on display at the opening on June 21, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the Collège Révolution in Nîmes.

An article published in the Artists of Occitania

My artistic residency is taking root in its surroundings and is beginning to generate buzz.

I invite you to discover the article about my work published by Artistes d’Occitanie: “In Nîmes, visual artist Barbara Christol in residence at the Collège Révolution.”

Thank you, Artistes d’Occitanie, and Madame Anne Devailly for this spotlight!

My representation by Art Trope Gallery appeared in an article by Artnet

To conclude this spring newsletter, my joy at the beginning of this year is to be represented by Art Trope Gallery. I invite you to discover the superb article published in Artnet about my arrival at the gallery alongside four other talented new artists.

Thanks to Artnet for the article, as well as to Art Trope Gallery and Virginie Tison for your professionalism!

We look forward to meeting you soon and chatting!

Yours sincerely,

Barbara
