In Nîmes, visual artist Barbara Christol, who recently returned to live in the city (after living in Pézenas), is currently in residence at the Collège Révolution in the City of Nîmes, with the support of the Gard Departmental Council.

Arriving in January, she will continue her residency until June to create a site-specific work on the theme of “Inner Landscapes,” which she will present at an exhibition at the college at the end of June.

“New materials and new media are combined with painting, drawing, and weaving to define new forms of “Inner Landscapes.” On site, I literally weave connections, both literally and figuratively, to appropriate and inhabit spaces,” explains the artist.

The artist publishes a newsletter to follow this work in residence.
