Filigrane is a series of original drawings made in India ink on Arches paper, begun in the summer of 2024. Some of the drawings are enhanced with fine hand-stitched stitching and embroidery, suggesting the construction lines underlying the compositions and adding a new sensory dimension to the artist’s works. These captivating works deploy a network of geometric shapes playing with depth and movement for a striking three-dimensional effect.

The exhibition “Threads and Leaves” highlights the practices of textile art and paper art, as well as mixed media. Through processes such as weaving, assemblage, folding, and collage, it integrates a multitude of materials, such as fabric, fiber, rope, plastic, wire, and paper, often reinvented as threadlike, supple, or sometimes rigid elements, through varied mixtures. This artistic approach explores themes of connection, transformation, and transience, inviting reflection on the ephemeral nature of the works and their capacity to weave links between materials and ideas.

As part of the Fils et Feuilles exhibition, Hybrid’s Crib had the pleasure of collaborating with NYCE and PCE

NY Collage Ensemble – NYCE
The New York Collage Ensemble (NYCE), founded in 2020, aims to bring together a community of collage artists to exchange, collaborate, and inspire one another. To achieve this goal, NYCE brings together artists with diverse careers and styles, and whose work draws on a variety of techniques, from fabric to digital to analog.

Paris Collage Ensemble – PCE
Our group, created in 2023, brings together seven collage artists whose work is highly diverse. Most work with scraps of paper of all kinds, sometimes torn, sometimes meticulously cut, or even sculpted. Our collaboration has allowed us to collaborate on inspiring projects for the past two years. The work carried out for the theme of this exhibition has allowed us to explore new avenues.
